MoLaS: New format
Starting next year, our Mobile Laser Scanning Technology Workshop will be a one-day event held every six months. Each event will focus on a different topic. We hope you'll continue to attend!
A compact, lightweight multisensor system offers new possibilities for 3D data collection in urban environments: Regularly operating vehicles such as garbage trucks, delivery vans, taxis, or streetcars can be turned into measurement vehicles. Equipped with a LiDAR/camera system, these vehicles generate data on the urban environment, which is processed in real time and analyzed using AI while the vehicle is in motion. This lays the foundation for creating a digital urban twin that is always up to date. Autonomous platforms such as drones or robot dogs, equipped with multimodal measurement technology, can also capture 3D data in inaccessible areas within the urban environment.

Since 2014, the Mobile Laser Scanning Technology Workshop has attracted over 100 participants every two years. The next event will refine its focus to make it more application-oriented. Starting in 2027, the workshop will be a one-day event held every six months, with each event focusing on a different topic. We hope you'll continue to join us in our new format!
